Cooperative Aecar (Asociacion Regional de Productores de Cafe Caranavi) was founded in 1987 with 164 small farmers averaging 3 acres of land per farmer. This coffee is grown throughout Central Illimani, Villa Caturapi, Collasuyo, Buen Pasto, Magallanes, Alto Ascension and Chuma.

Aecar's mission is to conserve the environment while maintaining an economic balance. The Cooperative has taken many steps to improve coffee quality, including building patios, building nurseries and providing coffee technicians to assist farmers in training and organic agricultural practices.

CRC Cooperative Coraca CRC was founded in 1995 and is located in the Department of La Paz, Province of Caranavi, Canton of Carrasco, La Reserva. The group is comprised of 407 producers, 211 organic and 196 in transition.
